WonderRoot’s Press Play is a 3-month audio journalism program that partners Atlanta teens with a teaching group of artists and activists to collectively produce an hour-long podcast. Press Play equips students to use storytelling as a means of activism that increases interest and momentum around critical social issues. In creating the audio piece, students capture recordings of individuals in their communities as well as Atlanta arts and social work professionals. Most importantly, the program challenges students to explore the significant value of their own perspectives and abilities as storytellers.

From January-March 2018, WonderRoot partnered with teens at the East Atlanta Kids Club to produce the first Press Play. Listen to their podcast here.
