Hi WonderRoot Friends! It's a busy week at WonderRoot with an Adobe Illustrator class Tuesday evening, 5 music shows, a dreamcatcher building workshop on Thursday and our monthly group animation draw led by ASIFA-Atlanta. Come out an see us!
Come out this Thursday evening to the Plaza Theatre for WonderRoot's second Generally Local, Mostly Independent Filmmaker's night. Things will get started around 9:15 with a performance by Bean Summer, Bradley Bailey, Adam Bruneau and others. Followed by films by your very own Atlanta filmmakers. Cost is $6 with all the proceeds going to a fund to pay for artists submissions to film festivals.
After a lot of arduous planning, the magazine is complete and ready for launch. Please join us tomorrow night as we celebrate the first volume of ur literary magazine Loose Change.

Readings start at 9:00pm, so make sure to get upstairs
and grab a space! Loose Change mag's contributing writers will be
reading, as well as guest speakers Blake Butler, Kodac Harrison, and
Jack Riggs.
WonderRoot's 2nd Local Filmmakers Night will take place on Thursday,
July 29 at Plaza Theatre. We are looking for film submissions including
experimental shorts, documentaries, narratives, animation, music videos,
and any other type of video art.
Your entry will be considered
for screening at this event. All proceeds from the box office will go
into a fund for participating filmmakers to submit their films to
festivals (basically the fund will pay for your submission fee into a
festival of your choice*).
- No entry fee!
- Deadline for entry:
July 19, 2010
- Entries accepted in digital format only
- DVD data
file (quicktime) HIGHLY preferred
- Entries should be 20 minutes or
less
- Please do not submit your originals as they cannot be returned
to you

On July 9th, Vinyl is Hosting Battle of the Bands, featuring Phretnoise, The Bitter End, Clusters of Grey and many more bands. Tickets are available at Wax and Facts Record store in L5P or online at Phretnoise's Website. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales are tickets sale will be donated to WonderRoot. We encourage you all to go out and support local music, and the arts, and the communiy at large.
