Volunteer & Intern
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at WonderRoot! There are lots of different ways to volunteer with us.
Want to be a Weekly Volunteer? Weekly Volunteers help staff the WonderRoot Community Arts Center. Weekly Volunteers work a five and a half hour shift each week and make a six month commitment to volunteering on a weekly basis at WonderRoot. This is a great way to volunteer if you are interested in really immersing yourself in the WonderRoot community. If you are interested in becoming a Weekly Volunteer, please fill out the Volunteer Application Form.
Want to be an Occasional Volunteer? Occasional Volunteers are contacted when we need extra assistance with special projects and events that occur inside and outside of the WonderRoot Community Arts Center. These volunteers make no commitment to giving their time on specific dates and times, and are able to choose which projects they are interested in assisting with. Occasional Volunteers have previously lent a hand at music shows in the performance venue, in our community garden, and at events such as Wonderglo. If you are interested in becoming an Occasional Volunteer, please send an email inquiry to email@example.com.
Want to apply for our Internship Program? WonderRoot Interns commit 15 hours per week to the Arts Center. Interns take on a focus of Facilities Management, Artists Helping Artists, or Volunteer Management. In addition, interns participate in a colloquium with Atlanta arts and non-profit professionals, create and execute a program of their own design, and help with the day-to-day functioning of the Arts Center. Internships are available from January – May, from May – August, and from September – December. If you are interested in applying for a WonderRoot Internship, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Want to be involved in a way that falls outside the above descriptions? Have questions about being a volunteer at WonderRoot? Email us at email@example.com and let us know what you are thinking!
